The Klean Group
Klean Group
Behind Klean Fuels is the Klean Group — a family-owned operator across the full waste-to-value chain.
The Klean Group is a family-owned group built on one proposition: materials the economy discards still carry recoverable energy, carbon and value, and recovering them properly is an engineering discipline, not a slogan. Its companies address different points on that chain and share engineering, project delivery and commercial capability rather than operating as separate brands under a holding structure.
Why the group structure matters to a buyer
Industrial waste projects are rarely single-technology problems. A plastics project has a residue stream; a tire project produces oil, steel and carbon black, each with a different market; a municipal waste project has fractions that suit thermal treatment and fractions that do not. A supplier selling one process shapes the project around it; a group engineering across pyrolysis, gasification, waste-to-energy and materials recovery shapes the solution around the feedstock and the offtake. Family ownership adds continuity: decisions on a project horizon rather than a quarterly one, which matters when an asset must run for decades and the engineering judgement bought is institutional.
What the group covers
Plastic pyrolysis and plastic-to-fuel. Waste and scrap plastic converted into pyrolysis oil and diesel-range fuel through continuous liquefaction — the work this site describes, with projects across North America, Europe and Asia.
Tire pyrolysis and recovered carbon black. End-of-life tire processing into recovered carbon black, pyrolysis oil and steel, the group's deepest technical area.
Waste-to-energy and solid waste. Advanced thermal treatment, gasification and energy-from-waste facilities converting municipal and commercial residues into electricity, steam and heat.
Pyrolysis oil and low-carbon fuels. Upgrading and co-processing pyrolysis oil into marine fuels, low-carbon fuels and asphalt applications.
Digital and traceability. KleanLoop, the group's blockchain and SaaS work, addresses the chain-of-custody problem that increasingly determines whether recovered materials can be sold as recycled content.
How the group works with clients
Engagement is gated. Independent feasibility studies and technical due diligence come first, because the most valuable service an engineering group provides is an honest answer about whether a project works. Where it does, the group moves into design and engineering, then turn-key design-build-commission delivery; where a client already owns an underperforming facility, into efficiency upgrades and owner's engineering. Energy and waste audits, carbon intensity management and supply chain services support those projects. The group builds operating assets, not demonstrations, and publishes its track record project by project.

One Group, the Whole Waste-to-Value Chain
Industrial waste projects rarely fit a single technology. Engineering across plastic pyrolysis, tire pyrolysis, recovered carbon black, gasification and waste-to-energy means the solution can be shaped around the feedstock and the offtake rather than around whatever a vendor happens to sell.
